The lady figure plays a tambourine in a marbleized sage-green gown with delicate applied lace trim at the neckline, sleeves, and hem; her companion plays a lute-form stringed instrument in a matching grey coat with the same fired-lace detailing. Both pieces stand on oval bases with the period-typical hand-punched vent hole underneath — a normal construction feature of hollow slip-cast bisque, not a flaw.
