Haviland Limoges "Poppy" Gravy Boat with Attached Underplate, France, Circa 1893–1930
A gravy boat with integrated attached underplate in Haviland Limoges' "Poppy" pattern, marked "Haviland Limoges Poppy, Limoges France," with the backstamp dating this piece to circa 1893–1930.
The boat has a scalloped, gilt-edged rim and a graceful pulled spout, sitting on its own footed, matching floral underplate rather than a separate saucer — a detail that made this form more costly to produce and rarer to find intact today. The same soft poppy spray in pink and ochre with sage-green foliage wraps the exterior and echoes across the underplate border.
Dimensions: 7" diameter x 3" tall.
Condition: Excellent. One small orange-toned firing spot on the base is present (visible in detail photos) — a minor manufacturing-era characteristic rather than damage. No chips, cracks, or wear.
