A curated seven-piece collection celebrating the Alpine wildflower trio — blue gentian, white edelweiss, and pink alpenrose — hand-painted across Rosenthal's Munich Handmalerei Abteilung and its sister factory Thomas, spanning both the maker's classic and more modern production lines.

The heart of the collection is a three-piece coffee service (coffee pot, creamer, and covered sugar), each piece individually hand-painted with its own botanical study rather than a repeating transfer pattern — the coffee pot alone carries both a full gentian-edelweiss-alpenrose bouquet and a separate lady-slipper orchid study on its reverse face. This is the documented "Alpine Flowers" pattern (Rosenthal - Continental, pattern code R ALF, discontinued, circa 1952), joined here by a matching hand-painted saucer and salad plate in the same gentian motif.

Complementing the tableware are a pair of miniature hand-painted porcelain plaques, each individually signed by a different Rosenthal Munich studio artist (E. Baumgartner; Etzengruber) and identified on their original mounts as pattern "Nr. 6 Enzian-Edelweiss-Alpenrose" — the same numbered design referenced throughout the collection, presented in two different gilt frames.

Rounding out the collection is a bulbous hand-painted vase by Thomas — Rosenthal's Rosenthal-owned sister factory since 1907 — bearing the "Handmalerei" hand-painted designation and the same wildflower grouping, with a flared trumpet neck and pearled collar detail.

All pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or damage. Buyers should note that while every piece is individually hand-painted, they represent two related Rosenthal-family factories (Rosenthal proper and Thomas) rather than a single uniform production run — a distinction the maker's own records support, describing Thomas as Rosenthal's more modern line alongside Rosenthal's classic and art departments.
