Rosenthal "R&C Delft" Flow Blue Serving Dish, Circa 1891–1930s — Windmill & Winter Canal Scene, Antique Germany

A large, exceptionally detailed antique Rosenthal Delft-series dish in rich cobalt flow blue, depicting a evocative Dutch winter scene: a horse-drawn cart passing before a working windmill, a lamppost lighting the snow-dusted road, distant figures on foot, and a second windmill visible across the water. The scene is rendered with genuine atmospheric depth — layered clouds, soft snow shading, and fine linework throughout — within a dramatically irregular, deeply scalloped scroll-molded rim.

Measures 10⅞" in diameter, 2¼" deep. Excellent condition.

This is a notably larger and more narratively complex example than typical Rosenthal Delft windmill-and-sailboat scenes, with a genuinely painterly winter composition rather than a simple repeated motif.
