Haviland Limoges "Poppy" Covered Sugar Bowl, France, Circa 1893–1930

A covered sugar bowl in Haviland Limoges' "Poppy" pattern, a documented and now-discontinued open-stock design (pattern code H POP), marked "Haviland Limoges Poppy, Limoges France" with the backstamp dating this piece to circa 1893–1930.

The bowl has a gently faceted body rising to a scalloped, gilt-rimmed lid topped with a scrolled finial, flanked by a pair of gilt-trimmed C-scroll handles. The pattern is a soft, painterly poppy spray in blush pink and gold-toned ochre with sage green foliage, scattered loosely across the white ground.

Dimensions: 5½" handle to handle x 4" wide x 4½" tall.

Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks, or wear noted.
